Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to LazSpot ("the Site", "the Platform", or "the Service"). By accessing, browsing, registering, or using any of the tools available on lazspot.com, you (the "User") agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the entirety of these terms, the use of this platform is strictly prohibited.

LazSpot is a suite of digital assistance tools (SaaS) designed for laser cutting operators, CNC users, 3D printing enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs in the Maker sector. These terms constitute a binding contract between you and LazSpot.

2. Service Description and Availability

LazSpot provides online utilities including, but not limited to: file converters, image vectorizers, price calculators, PDF quote generators, financial envelope managers, and digital notepads.

  • Service "As-Is": All tools are provided "as is" and "as available". While we strive to maintain a 99% uptime, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected immediately.
  • Modifications to the Service: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue temporarily or permanently any tool, feature, or algorithm of the platform with or without prior notice.

3. Account Registration and Security

Certain features (such as saving notes, quotes, and workshop settings) require the creation of a free account. By registering, you agree to:

  • Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your password and account credentials.
  • Assume total responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. LazSpot will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

4. Rules of Conduct and Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree to use the platform in a legal, ethical, and responsible manner. It is strictly prohibited to:

  • Reverse Engineering: Attempt to decompile, scrape, reverse engineer, or extract the source code, vectorization algorithms, or calculation formulas of our platform.
  • Server Abuse: Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers (e.g., DDoS attacks or massive automated uploads of corrupt files).
  • Illegal Content: Use the vectorizer or file manager to process images containing child abuse material, illegal explicit content, or designs for manufacturing unregulated 3D/CNC printed firearms.

5. Disclaimer of Liability regarding Calculators and Quotes

LazSpot offers financial tools such as the "Price Calculator" and the "Quote Generator". You explicitly understand and agree that:

  • We are not financial advisors: The calculations, profit margins, and tax estimates (VAT/Income Tax) generated by the site are purely mathematical and for guidance purposes only. They do not constitute legal, accounting, or financial advice.
  • Commercial Risk: You are solely responsible for verifying your actual operating costs. LazSpot assumes no liability if you suffer financial losses, business bankruptcy, or conflicts with clients due to quotes generated on our platform.
  • Tax Validity: The generated PDF documents are Commercial Proformas and lack legal validity as official tax receipts (e.g., CFDI or stamped invoices).

6. Disclaimer of Liability regarding Machinery Damage

Our software tools generate vector files (SVG) from images or proprietary files. LazSpot assumes no responsibility for:

  • Material damage, fires, broken laser tubes, or CNC head collisions resulting from the execution of files generated or converted on our platform.
  • Loss of material (acrylic, MDF, etc.) due to poorly traced vectors, overlapping nodes, or erroneous kerf settings saved in user notes.

The user is solely responsible for simulating, reviewing, and validating any cutting path (G-Code/RDWorks/LightBurn) before sending the job to their physical machine.

7. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Our Property: The LazSpot brand, user interface, site design, logos, and underlying platform code are the exclusive property of LazSpot and are protected by international copyright laws.

Your Property: You retain all copyrights and intellectual property of the images you upload, the vectors you generate, and your client information entered into quotes. LazSpot claims no ownership over your design files and will not use them for commercial purposes or to train Artificial Intelligence models.

8. Account Cancellation and Termination

You can cancel your account at any time through the settings panel. LazSpot reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation, a breach of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability (Maximum Damages)

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall LazSpot, nor its directors, employees, partners, or agents, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill), resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (iii) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Luis Potosí for the resolution of any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of LazSpot.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
