2. File Processing and Intellectual Property (Important for Creators!)

We understand that your designs, vectors, and laser cutting files are the core of your business. Therefore, we have designed the architecture of our tools prioritizing "Local-First" privacy (Local Processing):

  • Conversion Tools (LBRN to SVG and Vectorizer): When you use our LightBurn file converter or image vectorizer, your files are NEVER uploaded to our servers. All mathematical processing, node extraction, and conversion are performed locally in the RAM of your own web browser (via JavaScript). It is technologically impossible for us to view, copy, steal, or store your designs.
  • Absolute Ownership: You retain 100% of the copyrights and intellectual property of any original file you process using our browser tools.

3. Information We Collect and Store

For tools that require cloud synchronization (such as Digital Notes, Quoter, and Financial Envelopes), we collect the following types of information when you voluntarily choose to register:

  • Registration Information: Email address, name or alias, and passwords (which are strictly stored encrypted using one-way hash algorithms; we cannot read your password).
  • Application Data (Cloud Sync): If you create an account, we will store in our secure databases the information you enter into the tools: your workshop settings (rent, electricity costs), cutting parameters in your notes, and income/expense records in your digital envelopes. This is done for the sole purpose of allowing you to access your information from multiple devices.
  • Usage and Device Data: We collect standard server information, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps. This information is anonymous and is used exclusively for statistical purposes, fraud prevention, and maintaining server security.

4. Use of Cookies and Tracking Technologies (Google AdSense)

LazSpot is a free-to-use platform funded by advertising. To keep our servers running, we use third-party cookies and tracking technologies:

  • Essential Cookies: Necessary to keep you logged in, remember your language preferences, and the dark/light mode of the website.
  • Google AdSense and DART Cookie: Google, as a third-party partner vendor, uses cookies to serve relevant ads on our site.
