This generator makes your ID photos online and hands you the whole sheet ready to print: you crop once and the tool fills it with identical copies, already spaced and with cutting guides. The most requested official sizes

How many photos fit per sheet

With the default settings (4 × 6 inch paper in landscape, 2.5 × 3 cm photos, 2 mm spacing and 3 mm margin) you get 15 photos: 5 columns by 3 rows. A Letter sheet at the same sizes fits considerably more. The indicator under the preview always shows the exact result and updates as you change the values.

Rectangular or oval crop

The oval ID photo is still required for several procedures and in many schools. Switch the crop shape with one click: the preview whites out the part that gets discarded and the cut outline is drawn as an oval instead of a rectangle.

How to frame an official photo properly

  • The head should take up 70 to 80 % of the photo height, centered horizontally.
  • Leave a little air above the head; do not let it touch the top edge.
  • The eyes usually land near the first horizontal dotted line: use it as your reference.
  • Look straight ahead, neutral expression, no sunglasses or hat, and a plain light background.
  • If your phone saved the photo sideways the tool fixes the orientation on its own; the 90° buttons are there for the odd case it misses.

How to print your ID photos from the PDF

PDF is the safest option when you print at home or send the file to a print shop, because the page is generated at the exact size of the sheet and no application rescales it on its own. The steps:

  1. Frame the photo and check in the sheet preview how many copies you get.
  2. Under "Export" choose PDF; you get a single page the size of the paper you picked.
  3. Open it and print at 100 % scale or "Actual size". Never "Fit to page": that shrinks the photos and they stop measuring what the form asks for.
  4. If someone else prints it, send the PDF as it is and ask them not to rescale it.

For photo-paper prints JPG is usually better, since that is what labs and self-service kiosks accept. PNG carries its 300 DPI resolution written inside the file, handy if you are going to drop it into Word or an official form.

What size is an ID photo?

In Mexico the "infantil" ID photo is 2.5 × 3 cm, the size asked for in school records and most paperwork. It is not the same as the badge size (3 × 4 cm) or the diploma size (4.5 × 6 cm), and elsewhere passports use 3.5 × 4.5 cm.

What resolution does my photo need?

A 2.5 × 3 cm ID photo at 300 DPI needs about 300 × 355 pixels in the final crop, so almost any phone photo works. Zooming in a lot can make it pixelated: the preview shows it exactly as it will come out.

Can I change the background to white?

This tool does not remove backgrounds. Shoot against a plain light wall, or strip the background in your editor first and upload the finished file.
